I’ve been living a pretty average, but decent, life. I have experienced the natural up’s and down’s, the hi’s and low’s of life, just like everyone else. But one thing I’ve learned is how to be happy. And it’s a simple thing. Ready for it?
Don’t let things bring you down.
In other words, don’t remain in your bubble of sadness. Don’t wallow in your misery. Because let’s face it, staying sad doesn’t help you get happy. It’s best to just stand back up and start walking again. All you have to ask yourself is “What’s the point of remaining sad?” And the answer is: there isn’t one. Do you just want others to pity you? Do you just want to constantly feel like shit? Every time I’m angry or sad, I don’t let it consume me. It’s something that I’ve learned from experience and seeing others in the same position; don’t let the bad things ruin everything. The key to being happy is to acknowledge that remaining sad isn’t worth it, that giving up never works, and that allowing others to bring you down is useless. Being happy is pretty easy actually, it’s being sad that takes a lot of work. (Insert clichéd saying here.)
