Last day I'm gonna constantly reblog my 365 photos.
I think’s it’s pretty annoying to those who follow both pages and when they go through their dashboard they see two of the same posts right next to each other. So forget that, my followers are too cool for that bullshit haha. So if you like my photography and you want to keep posted on my 365 and my photoshoots, etc; either follow me on my photography page or add me on flickr. Tanks guise :)
Things I would have said to certain people, classes I would have worked hard to pass, money I would’ve spent more wisely, I wish I could change a lot of things. But then I realize that if things were done differently… I wouldn’t be who I am today. If we change the past, we would effect our future. So all the mistakes, accomplishments, the friends, everything that led me to this point would be different. And there’s no way I would want so many of the precious memories I made to not have happened. So though I wish that I would have made a few different choices, the choices I’ve made already have been good enough for me :)
Today I hear that Rick Scott is planning on doing sooo many budget cuts in educations on programs such as art, music, and sports programs.
Later on, I’m looking for an article to do my current event on, and I come across this: “High-Speed Rail: Obama Pledges $53 Billion for Upgrades”. Really?
The 1st lady is all up on the Disney channel to promote healthy decisions and to prevent obesity.
A high speed rail that’s THAT expensive is only promoting people to stay on their fat asses and take a “high-speed rail” to their destinations. There are other manual ways of transportation.
Considering the state of our economy, I don’t think wasting $53 BILLION dollars on a high-speed rail would do any good.
Okay, yeah making the high speed rail will lower the use of gasoline since everything happening in the middle east, & Egypt will do nothing but make gas prices sky rocket, but spending that much money isn’t doing us any justice either.
To think future children will have their talents silenced just for a high-speed rail. Disgusting.
First, the assumption that Rick Scott is cutting costs because President Obama is trying to build a high speed rail is very wrong. They have no correlation at all. Florida is one of the states that has little to no money, and the money we do have can barely pay the small amount of educators we have left in the state. Obviously art classes will be the first to go, to most people art is just an elective and is entirely optional and costs a lot of money to keep. And as many artists would agree, art classes in public schools do little in helping their progress, 99% of the things you learn in the class you can read from a book or you already know how to do it. If you want to become an artist through classes either you go to a school that specializes in it or you do outside of school and pay for it yourself. I’m not for that, but it’s an obvious and logical answer. Art isn’t cheap.
Secondly, anyone who’s taken a general economics class would know that currently, the United States has a GDP of about 15 trillion dollars a year. To finally have a high speed transportation that connects the entire country together and is a good alternative to flying, 53 billion is nothing. It’s a surprise that though we are the strongest nation in the world, many other top countries in Europe and places such as Japan, have already had high speed transportation for years, yet we don’t. Also, the 53 billion dollars is requested over a span of 6 years, even if we came to a halt and stopped growing, 53 billion dollars out of 90 trillion, is essentially equivalent to spare change. Don’t listen to everything you hear on the news and read on the internet, it’s full of sensationalist writing and spreads lies into the unknowing public masses. And as for the state of our economy, as bad is it seems, we are no longer in a recession. We’ve been out of it since summer of 2009. We are steadily growing, be it at a slow pace, but if you know anything about economics, this is just the natural flow of any functional economy.
Just saying. No hate, just trying to get the facts straight.
